Outdated Website? Let’s Make It Work Better.

We redesign dated, confusing or hard-to-use small business websites, keeping what works, fixing what doesn’t, and protecting the pages and links you’ve already built.

Signs it’s time

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • It looks noticeably older than your competitors’ sites
  • Customers say they couldn’t find your number or prices
  • It’s awkward to use on a phone
  • You’re embarrassed to send people to it
  • Updating anything feels risky or expensive
  • Inquiries have dropped and you don’t know why

If two or more apply, a redesign is probably worth discussing. If it’s just one specific problem, a smaller website repair may be enough.

Before → Better

Same business. A much clearer website.

A redesign isn’t about trendy effects. It’s about making the important things obvious. Toggle between the two versions to see the difference structure makes.

  1. Say what you do, and where A specific headline replaces a generic “Welcome to our website.”
  2. One obvious next step A single primary button for quotes, repeated where it helps, instead of buried contact details.
  3. Services that scan in seconds Short cards replace a dense paragraph, so visitors find their problem fast.
Illustrative example

Before

Before: a cluttered homepage with eight navigation links, a generic “Welcome to our website” banner, a dense paragraph of text and no clear button to request service.

Better

Better: a clear headline that says what the business does and where, one green “Request service” button, and three short service cards.

Before we redesign

We start by reviewing what you already have.

Every redesign begins with a careful look at your current site, so we keep what’s working and fix what isn’t.

  • Content worth keeping

Pages, photos and wording that still serve customers well.

  • Navigation & structure

How pages are organized and how easy it is to find things.

  • Mobile experience

Tap targets, text size and how the quote path works on a phone.

  • Calls to action

Whether the next step is obvious on every important page.

  • Forms & contact

Whether forms work, ask the right questions and reach you.

  • Speed basics

Heavy images, slow scripts and other easy performance wins.

  • Accessibility basics

Contrast, headings, labels and keyboard use.

  • Existing search presence

Your current page addresses, titles and pages that already get found.

What a redesign improves

Practical improvements, not a fresh coat of paint.

We won’t promise a specific jump in inquiries. Nobody honestly can. What we can promise is a site that’s clearer, faster and easier to act on.

Navigation
Fewer, clearer menu items that match how customers think.
Mobile layout
Designed for thumbs first, with the call button and quote form always close.
Content hierarchy
Headlines that say what you do; details that support it.
Calls to action
One primary next step per page, repeated where it helps.
Forms
Shorter, working forms that ask for what you need.
Performance
Lighter pages and optimized images for faster loading.
Accessible basics
Readable contrast, proper headings and labeled fields.
Easier upkeep
A structure that’s simpler to update after launch.

Relaunch safety

Protecting the links and search presence you’ve built.

A careless relaunch can break bookmarks, links from other sites and pages that already show up in search. We plan for that before anything goes live.

  1. List every existing page and important link.
  2. Keep web addresses where it makes sense.
  3. Set up permanent (301) redirects for pages that move.
  4. Carry over titles, descriptions and content that still work.
  5. Test forms, redirects and analytics on the preview site.
  6. Submit the updated sitemap in Google Search Console, if you use it, and check for errors after launch.
Example redirect plan
Example
Old address New address Action
/services.html /services/ 301 · Moved
/about-us.php /about/ 301 · Moved
/house-cleaning /residential-cleaning/ 301 · Renamed
/contact/ /contact/ Kept as is

Illustrative example. Your plan is based on your site’s actual pages. Nobody can guarantee rankings won’t move after a relaunch, but careful redirects reduce the risk.

Scope & pricing

Redesigns are quoted from $499.

The final price depends on how many pages you have, how much content needs to move or be rewritten, and which features you want to keep or add. You’ll get a written quote before any work starts.

  • A review of your current site, content and page structure
  • A scoped redesign focused on clarity, mobile use and calls to action
  • A redirect plan for pages that move, so existing links keep working
  • Relaunch support on your domain

After relaunch, optional Website Care keeps the new site healthy. Starting from scratch instead? See our small business web design service.

FAQ

Redesign questions

Straight answers before you commit to anything.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Any redesign carries some risk if pages and links change carelessly. We list your existing pages, keep web addresses where it makes sense, set up redirects for pages that move, and carry over important titles and content. That reduces the risk, but nobody can promise rankings will not fluctuate after a relaunch.

Will my current site go offline during the redesign?

No. The new version is built separately on a private preview link. Your current site stays live until you approve the switch.

Can I keep my domain, email and existing content?

Yes. Your domain stays yours, and we can reuse the content that still works. Email is usually separate from your website, and we take care not to disrupt it when moving the site.

Do I have to switch platforms?

Not necessarily. Sometimes the right move is a new design on your current platform; sometimes a simpler, faster build is a better long-term choice. We recommend an option after reviewing your site.

How is a redesign priced?

Redesigns start from a $499 quote. The final price depends on the number of pages, how much content needs to move or be rewritten, and any features you want to keep or add. You get a written quote before work begins.

My site only needs a few fixes. Do I need a full redesign?

Probably not. Website Repairs start from $199 for scoped fixes like broken forms or mobile layout problems. A free website audit is a good way to find out which option makes sense.

Find out what your current site needs.

Request a free, manual website audit. We’ll point out what’s working, what isn’t, and whether a redesign or a smaller fix makes more sense.
